Diea D. Schum
Diea Schum joined Donahue Fitzgerald in 2021 and currently focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, real estate, and construction matters. As a member of the Litigation Practice Group, Diea handles all phases of the litigation process, including appellate practice. Diea is an effective litigator who is not afraid to tackle the most complicated legal issues and tailors her approach to each client based on their objectives.
Prior to joining the firm, Diea was an attorney in Florida handling commercial litigation matters for Fortune 500 companies, partnership and/or corporation breakups, contract disputes, intellectual property issues, and other business disputes. Diea began her legal career as a law extern to multiple judges at the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Court in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Outside the office, Diea is an avid traveler and even spent time studying law at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia and the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. She has volunteered as the mock trial coach for the local high school and enjoys being an active member in her community.
