What Every Lawyer Should Know About eDiscovery

Litigation Attorney, Hayley Lenahan, will be presenting on What Every Lawyer Should Know About eDiscovery, a virtual program hosted by the Sonoma County Bar Association on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.

This presentation will address the basics of electronic discovery, including counsel’s professional obligations, the process of developing a discovery plan (including budgeting for eDiscovery), the best practices for document collection, the most effective ways to use electronic materials (including metadata), and more. Though the presentation will focus on eDiscovery in litigation, it will also address how eDiscovery practices are used outside of litigation, such as general retention policies and pre-litigation disputes.
