Preparing for the California Consumer Privacy Act

As of January 1, 2020 many California businesses will have new data privacy and security compliance requirements under the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”).

The most impacted businesses are large companies, and companies which either collect a large volume of information from California residents or generate significant revenue from monetized consumer data.  However, some service providers may find themselves in the path of CCPA if the organization does business with another company who must comply.

Early preparation can assist your organization with determining its obligations and implementing a strategy prior to 2020.  Whether you believe your organization is directly impacted or you are curious  to understand what CCPA is, we welcome you to join Dawn Newton and Katherine Hall for a complimentary presentation which will discuss:

  • CCPA requirements
  • Who must comply
  • Business impact and preparation
