Twitter Account Is Trade Secret, Publisher Says, Testing Law
On August, 10, 2018, Bloomberg Law published an article by Alexis Kramer on the debate on whether social media accounts can be legally protected trade secrets. The article quotes partner, John C. Kirke, who represented PhoneDog in the PhoneDog LLC v. Kravitz case where the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California declined to dismiss a trade secrets claim stemming from a former employee’s control of a Twitter account.
