Preparing for 2016: Annual Employment Law Update

This annual update is your opportunity to understand the latest court cases, legislative and regulatory activity and significant developments that will affect your workplace in the coming year.

The speakers will cover the following:

  • Key appellate court decisions & how they may impact the workplace
  • Policies & procedures employers should consider revising for 2016
  • Recent developments in immigration & what they mean to Bay Area employers

Speakers:

Jonathan McNeil Wong provides immigration strategies to companies for hiring foreign nationals to work in the US and in American branches of foreign companies. His employment practice includes defending employers in individual and class litigation and advice related to workplace safety and OSHA compliance, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and labor relations.

Michael S. Ward is an authority in wage and hour law. He advises management clients on every aspect of employer-employee relations including hiring, discipline and termination, policies and employee handbooks, severance plan administration, employee benefit programs, executive compensation agreements, trade secret and unfair competition matters. (Michael retired from the practice of law).

Mark A. Delgado focuses on management-side employment litigation and counseling in matters such as wage and hour issues, wrongful termination, and breach of contract. He counsels companies on creating and implementing human resource policies, record retention, and document management, and performs harassment investigations. (Mark retired from the practice of law).
