ICE in the Workplace and Proactive Employer Strategies
Stephanie Gonzalez and Jonathan Wong will be speaking to the Law Firm Alliance’s Labor and Employment Community regarding ICE in the workplace and proactive employer strategies in today’s climate of increased enforcement activity.
The presentation will address the following questions:
- Do I have to let ICE in if they come to my company?
- If I do, what is the protocol (do they have to have a warrant, where can they go throughout my facility, can they make me produce records, etc.)?
- Do I have a legal duty to call ICE if I suspect an employee is undocumented?
- Where can I find reliable resources to provide to employees who may be concerned about their immigration status, including legally documented employees who are fearful of deportation?
