How Do I Protect Myself & My Work as a Filmmaker?
On July 13, 2025, Entertainment attorney, Natasha Chee, will be presenting at the BraveMaker Film Fest on “How Do I Protect Myself & My Work as a Filmmaker?”
Natasha will be speaking on the legal frameworks, including federal and California laws, and discuss notable legal challenges and their outcomes. She will also speak on “Hollywood’s Diversity Equity & Inclusion Revolution: Laws, Policies, Progress, and the Power of Representation.” She will provide an overview of various offensive practices and destructive tropes that have persisted over time and continues today. The presentation will also highlight the efforts of various unions and guilds, such as SAG-AFTRA and the Producers Guild of America, in promoting diversity and inclusion through initiatives like the Diversity in Casting Incentive and affinity-based working groups.
