Employment Law and Personnel Management
This workshop will include discussions with attorneys from Donahue Fitzgerald about:
- The differences between independent contractors and employees;
- “Exempt” and “nonexempt” employees under the wage and hour laws;
- Developing and updating personnel policies/manuals;
- Avoiding discrimination claims when hiring and firing;
- Workplace safety;
- The importance of personnel record-keeping.
