Donahue Fitzgerald Congratulates Our Partner, Eric A. Handler, as ACBA’s 2017 President

On Thursday, January 26th, Donahue Fitzgerald attorneys will attend the Alameda County Bar Association (ACBA) Installation Dinner for 2017 to celebrate Eric Handler as ACBA’s 2017 President.

Donahue Fitzgerald LLP congratulates partner Eric A. Handler on his installation as president of the Alameda County Bar Association for 2017.  Eric joins a distinguished list of Donahue Fitzgerald attorneys who have served in this position, starting with the late Justice O.D. Hamlin, Jr., who served as ACBA president in 1929.

“Eric’s installation as ACBA president continues the firm’s tradition of active involvement in the legal community,” commented Managing Partner Andrew S. Mackay.  “We applaud his commitment to community engagement and especially his ongoing advocacy of access to justice through pro bono legal services.  The firm has been a longstanding supporter of pro bono, and Eric has been a driving force in preserving and promoting those values both within the firm and externally.”

Eric has held several leadership positions in the ACBA, serving on committees and on the ACBA Board.  He has also served on the Board of the ACBA Volunteer Legal Services Corporation, and leads the VLSC Bankruptcy Clinic, all while pursuing an active legal practice that includes business and probate litigation, bankruptcy and insolvency, and intellectual property law.
