Julia L. Covello is an associate with a focus on state and federal court litigation and has helped represent clients in a variety of complex state and federal law matters. As a member of the Litigation Practice Group, she assists clients in all aspects of litigation, including pre-litigation investigation and resolution, discovery, motions practice, mediation, and trial preparation. She has also worked extensively with document-production databases in highly-complex cases involving tens of thousands of documents and multiple parties.
During law school, Julia was a staff editor for the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly and a member of the Women’s Law Society. Julia also served as a competitor, coach, and board member for the top-ranked UC Hastings Moot Court team and competed in several national moot court competitions across the country, where she received an award for best brief. She was a teaching assistant in appellate advocacy, moot court, and legal research and writing. She also has significant experience conducting work over Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other online teleconferencing platforms.
Julia is also involved with her alma mater and serves on the University of Chicago’s Women’s Athletic Association Award Selection Committee.
