Delisle Warden is an attorney in the Intellectual Property Practice Group with a focus on music and entertainment law. He advises clients on various aspects of each, including:

  • Copyright, trademark and licensing agreements; and
  • Copyright and trademark registration.

Prior to attending law school, Delisle worked as a paralegal in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. While attending Harvard Law School, he was privileged to work as a research assistant to Professor Kenneth W. Mack and to serve as a General Editor for the Harvard BlackLetter Law Journal (now known as the Harvard Journal on Racial & Ethnic Justice).

After several years working as a corporate attorney, Delisle returned to federal service where he expressed his interest in social justice issues by working at the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration. He earned the Department of Commerce Silver Medal which is the second highest award presented by the United States Secretary of Commerce. This award recognizes major contributions of exceptional value in support of the Department of Commerce’s overall goals in the service to the United States. Delisle received the Silver Medal in recognition of his work designing the programmatic structure of the Investing in Manufacturing Communities Partnership program to comply with department regulations, and other exemplary contributions to the successful launch of the program. In addition to working on projects, which in the aggregate awarded millions of dollars to economically distressed communities throughout the U.S., he also gained experience in privacy laws impacting the federal government – Delisle is a Certified Information Privacy Professional and holds the CIPP/US certification.

Delisle left government service after receiving a fellowship from The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management. As a fellow, he attended Washington University in St. Louis where he studied organizational behavior and entrepreneurship. Subsequently, he moved to the San Francisco Bay Area and was a Senior Manager on the corporate strategy team at Hewlett Packard Enterprise and later the Interim Dean of Global Learning Programs and Services at Skyline College in San Bruno.

Delisle holds a BA from Emory University, a JD from Harvard Law School, and an MBA from the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis. In addition to spending time with his wife and children, Delisle enjoys landscape photography and studying martial arts focused on striking.
