Care Heller-Pittman joined the firm in 2003, specializing in intellectual property law. She has extensive transactional and corporate law experience in the high technology sector. Ms. Heller-Pittman has participated in a number of public and private acquisitions as well as managed and led teams in technology divestitures. In addition to her legal experience, she has technical as well as managerial expertise in domestic and international transactions including software development, content, publishing, and distribution agreements.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Heller-Pittman served as Corporate and Divisional Counsel at Autodesk, Inc. in San Rafael, California. She also was Director of Business Development for Discreet, a division of Autodesk, Inc., and was a senior manager for Structural Dynamics Research Corporation in Cincinnati, Ohio (which EDS subsequently acquired). She has participated in Harvard’s Executive Education Program for Negotiation and Managerial Decision Making.

She has served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer in Marin County and has handled pro bono family law cases for the Volunteer Legal Services Program of the Bar Association of San Francisco. Currently, she sits on several local boards.
