Annual Employment Law Update

This annual update is your opportunity to understand the latest court cases, legislative and regulatory activity and significant developments that will affect your workplace in 2017.

Attendees will leave with an understanding of:

  • Key appellate court decisions and how they may impact the workplace

This program is designed for HR professionals, in-house counsel, business executives and owners to learn about the significant changes in employment law, the impact on human resource and employment practices, and the actions for managing the workplace.

Robertson-Sarah-web-2Sarah Robertson’s employment practice spans over twenty years. She defends employers in litigation with particular emphasis on sexual harassment, discrimination, and retaliation issues. She counsels management and HR professionals in employee discipline and termination issues, wage-and-hour law compliance, harassment investigations, corporate reorganizations, unfair competition, and workplace safety and privacy issues. She has particular expertise in advising clients regarding employee medical and family leave issues and often speaks on those topics to human resource and attorney groups.



Jonathan M. Wong

Jonathan McNeil Wong provides immigration strategies to companies for hiring foreign nationals to work in the US and in American branches of foreign companies. His employment practice includes defending employers in individual and class litigation and advice related to workplace safety and OSHA compliance, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and labor relations.



Delgado_Mark-web-2Mark A. Delgado counsels and represents employers in all areas of employment law such as wage and hour issues, discipline and termination, workplace safety, recruitment and hiring, performance management, and discrimination and harassment.  He is a frequent speaker and conducts employment-related seminars and trainings for all levels of management, human resource professionals, in-house counsel, supervisors, and employees.




Christopher Bao is a compliance manager with Barney & Barney with over ten years of legal and compliance experience. He has consulted with a diverse set of clients on multiple areas of law related to employee benefits, including COBRA, HIPAA, PPACA, ERISA, ADA, and GINA.
